Toby and I have been working on digitally modeling our structure. Pictured below is a wire frame, which represents the centerline of members. From this 2×4, 4×4 or other dimensioned sizes can be extruded. Of interest is finding the intersecting points of members and the resultant joints. The following grasshopper definition specifies planes (plates) of varying sizes in 2D. These plates form along the respective planes of members at intersection points. A work in progress, I am adjusting the definition to center plates along centerlines as opposed to protruding from one side.
