I’m now able to generate members and splices at the ends based on a simple line diagram and everything seems to be working. The bulk of the definition is now simply getting the planes to rotate properly, which serve as the basis for the geometry. It’s in the Dropbox.
Now we can finally try to fill in the gaps between the splices with a regular system and hopefully get the wood members to react as well.
If we can’t get that to work, then we might use this to build a more simple structure that we know it can handle without too much more grasshopper work and then model some additional parts by hand of what the more advanced iterations could be.
